Introduction

Adobe After Effects, abbreviated as "AE", is a graphics and video processing software launched by Adobe Corporation, suitable for institutions engaged in design and video stunts, including television stations, animation production companies, personal post production studios, and multimedia studios。

Adobe After Effects software can help you create numerous attractive Motion graphics and shocking visual effects efficiently and accurately. Add refreshing effects to your movies, videos, DVDs, and Macromedia Flash works with unparalleled tight integration with other Adobe software, highly flexible 2D and 3D synthesis, as well as hundreds of preset effects and animations.

The latest official version of Adobe is: Adobe After Effects 2023。

Major function

Graphics Video Processing

Adobe After Effects software can help you create numerous attractive Motion graphics and shocking visual effects efficiently and accurately. Add refreshing effects to your movies, videos, DVDs, and Macromedia Flash works with unparalleled tight integration with other Adobe software, highly flexible 2D and 3D synthesis, as well as hundreds of preset effects and animations.

Powerful path functionality

Just like sketching on paper, using Motion Sketch can easily draw animation paths or add animation blur。

Powerful stunt control

After Effects uses up to hundreds of plugins to enhance image effects and animation control. Can be combined with other Adobe software and 3D software

After Effects preserves layer information when importing Photoshop and iIIuster files.

High quality video After Effects supports resolutions from 4 * 4 to 30000 * 30000 pixels, including high-definition television (HDTV)

Multi layer editing

Infinite layer film and still art enable After Effects to achieve seamless synthesis of movies and still images.

Efficient keyframe editing

In After Effects, keyframes support animation with all layer attributes, and After Effects can automatically handle changes between keyframes.

Unmatched accuracy

After Effects can be accurate to six thousandths of a pixel, allowing for accurate positioning of animations.

Efficient rendering effects After Effects can perform a composite of multiple renderings on different sizes, or perform a set of any number of different composite renderings.

Rendering and encoding

Send to Adobe Media Encoder queue

Two new commands and associated keyboard shortcuts can be used to send active or selected composites to the Adobe Media Encoder queue.

To send the synthesis to the Adobe Media Encoder encoding queue, do one of the following:

· Compose → Add to Adobe Media Encoder queue

· File → Export → Add to Adobe Media Encoder queue

· Press Ctrl+Alt+M (Windows) or Ctrl+Alt+M (Mac OS)

H264 MPEG2 WMV

Use Adobe Media Encoder queues for H.264, MPEG-2, and WMV formats. By default, these formats are no longer enabled in the After Effects rendering queue.

If you still want to use After Effects rendering queues, enable them from the output preferences.

Simultaneous rendering of multiple frames and multiprocessing

There are multiple enhancements in the multi processing feature of rendering multiple frames simultaneously, which helps to speed up processing when rendering multiple frames simultaneously.

· A new setting introduced can limit the multi processing function of simultaneously rendering multiple frames to only the rendering queue. When enabled, RAM preview does not use simultaneous rendering of multiple frames for multiprocessing. To enable this option, select Edit>Preferences>Memory and Multiprocessing, and then set the rendering queue only and not for RAM preview.

· The default option for backend RAM allocation for each CPU has been increased. You can allocate up to 6 GB of RAM. The available options are 1 GB, 1.5 GB, 2 GB, 3 GB, 4 GB, or 6 GB.

· If sufficient RAM is not installed on your computer, the ability to render multiple frames simultaneously will be disabled. You must install 5 GB or more of RAM to enable this feature.

Import and export

CINEMA 4D

You can import and export CINEMA 4D files (R12 and later versions) as materials, and then render them from within After Effects.

DPX Importer

The new DPX importer can import 8-bit, 10-bit, 12-bit, and 16-bit/channel DPX files. It also supports importing DPX files with alpha channels and time codes.

DNxHD import

You can import DNxHD MXF OP1a and OP-Atom files as well as QuickTime (. mov) with DNxHD media without installing other codecs. This includes using uncompressed alpha channels in DNxHD QuickTime files.

ProRes Media on Mac OS X 10.8

On Mac OS X 10.8, you can export ProRes media without installing other codecs. On Mac OS X 10.7, you still need to install Apple's ProRes codec.

OpenEXR Importer and ProEXR Enhancer

The new version includes caching functionality, significantly improving performance. After Effects includes OpenEXR Importer 1.8 and ProEXR 1.8.

ARRIRAW Enhancement

In the ARRIRAW Source Settings dialog box, you can set color space, exposure, white balance, and tone. To reset the values to the values stored as metadata in the ARRIRAW file, click 'Reload from File'.

Enhanced import format

This version of After Effects can be imported into other formats.。

 · XAVC (Sony 4K) files

·  AVC-Intra 200 files

· Other QuickTime video types

· Other features of RED (. rdd) files - RedColor3, RedGamma3, and Magic Motion
